Brian McKnight gets personal at Birmingham's Alabama Theatre, and fans love it

Brian McKnight's "Just Me'' tour was truly a family affair on Saturday night at the Alabama Theatre. He performed with his sons, B.J. and Niko, and his brother, Claude McKnight. Watching from the audience were the older McKnights' mother, Elaine Willis McKnight, and a family friend, Lucky Peay, both of Huntsville, and Claude McKnight's daughter, Jessica McKnight of Birmingham. (Special)  The foursome harmonized perfectly on the songs they performed a cappella, including “The Star-Spangled Banner’’ and their fun interpretation of the “Brady Bunch” show tune. As a group, they sounded like Take 6. During the show, McKnight recognized his mother, 70-year-old Elaine Willis McKnight, who lives in Huntsville.  When he was done, he opened the floor for questions from the audience and asked fans to request four songs he had not played during the evening. Hands flew into the air, and the the requests started rolling. At the end, McKnight had his playlist, and ended the evening with “Another You,’’ “Could,’’ and “Never Felt This Way.

In the beginning for Ringo, they choose standards such as “Honey Don’t” an old Carl Perkins usual or “Act Naturally” by Johnny Russell/Vonie Harrison which was a extraordinary choice for both songs. I can not picture John, Paul or George pulling either of these off any better. In the end they were capable to pen such songs as ‘Yellow Submarine” “Octopus’s Garden” and “With a Little Help From my Friends’ for Ringo to sing.

Your going to find out that what ever the Beatles touched, t was to turn to gold. A quick example; Magical Mystery Tour was considered a failure by the critics. While reporting on the failure of Magical Mystery Tour “Time” magazine subsequently cited the the film had grossed 2 million from college rentals and in America the album had grossed 8 million in it is introductory 10 days. This does not include England where the EP hit number 1. As usual, everything they touched, it turned to gold.
