Husqvarna 2012 Enduro Models Revealed

All models have a new look with new graphics, new blackchassis and new silver wheels: TE250, TE310, TE449, TE511, WR125, WR250,WR300. The 2012 TE250/ TE310 four-stroke models have a Kayabarear shock, a LeoVince racing exhaust pipe and an updated frame. In particular, Husqvarna engineers have worked on allmodels to make the bikes easier to ride, improving handling and engine responseat low engine revs. To win a world championship is one thing, and no small feat, but to stay on top is more difficult. Meo's victory in 2010, the rising star of Seistola and recent wins by Salminen confirm the talent of these top class riders and the quality of the Husqvarna TE250. A well-designed bike that gets better season after season, thanks to the work of the Husqvarna racing team and R&D technicians. As with all Husqvarna 2012 models, the steel chassis – a mixture of round, oval and rectangular tubing – is painted black, and has been reinforced at the steering head area with 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel plates to improve structural rigidity. The Excel rims are anodised silver, and the new graphics are in-mould, integrated to the plastic structure, making them impervious to repeated power washes. The handlebar also has new clamps. The 2012 Husqvarna TE250 single cylinder, twin cam, 4 valve titanium engine, in addition to clocking up numerous victories at the EWC – the top international championship – retains its ultra light weight; at 22 kg it is the lightest 250 cc enduro engine on the market. The 2012 version now has a completely redesigned exhaust system, boosting maximum performance. The compact engine is the result of resolute design without compromise. All peripherals were developed specifically for this engine, such as the Mikuni fuel injection that feeds the cylinder head through a 42 mm throttle body and the electric starting with the classic kick start back up. To ensure optimum reliability even on the slowest and most demanding circuits, the cooling system is fitted with a thermostat and electric fan. The engine power output can be altered for slippery conditions using the standard fit ‘dual mode switch’ on the handlebars. The wet sump crankcase houses a 6 speed gearbox, and the clutch is hydraulically controlled. A weapon of choice you wouldn't expect, and the one chosen by Antoine Meo. The French champion chose the Husqvarna TE310 to contest the E2 enduro category, against competitors racing with significantly more powerful engines (up to 450 cc). A courageous choice which is already becoming racing legend and is justified by the effectiveness of the balance of performance, weight and manoeuvrability that is the TE310. This model is just as suitable for the passionate amateur racer challenging his friends, as it is for the wily and determined Husqvarna team champion. Even with major updates such as the new Kayaba shock and completely redesigned exhaust system, the 2012 Husqvarna TE310 will have a competitive price. The compact frame, a mixture of round, oval and rectangular tubing, already modified in last year’s model has been fine-tuned to further improve strength and rigidity, with plates of 25CrMo4 chrome- moly steel added to the steering-head area. This important change is emphasised by the new black colouring, the anodised silver Excel rims, and the new graphics that are common across the Husqvarna 2012 range. The 2012 TE310 also has new handlebar clamps. To improve stability and manoeuvrability the TE310 has a new rear Kayaba shock, adjustable for both high and low speeds compression and rebound damping and a more rigid setting for the The engine is directly derived from the engine developed for the TE250 – the lightest in its category at just 22 kg! But its compactness now has greater torque and power with an increase in cylinder capacity to 302.4 cc (bore and stroke 82 x 57.35 mm), and a new specially developed exhaust system, to further improve performance. The basic design is unchanged: single cylinder, twin cam, with 4 titanium valves, Mikuni electronic injection with 45 mm throttle body and double CDI mapping, selectable by a switch on the handlebars. A practical system for changing engine performance to match the terrain and running conditions, selecting between "hard" for top performance, and a "soft" setting for less aggressive power delivery. Reliability is ensured by the high specification cooling system, with a thermostat and electric fan to prevent overheating in the tougher and slower trials. The experience gained over the last year has made the new TE449 an even more competitive bike. The basic profile is unchanged, the 449 is still the bike that inspires love at first sight, with all the innovative technical features that put it amongst the market leaders in the sector. It was already exclusive, now it has become more streamlined and efficient. Aesthetically it is more pleasing, the chassis is now black, the rims anodised silver, new graphics emphasise the flow of the lines that express functionality, lightweight and style. The ergonomic side panels allow the rider more freedom of movement, the integrated in-mould graphics are guaranteed to last. The days of "adhesive" graphics that come off with the second power wash are gone. The new version uses more 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel to reinforce the steering head, the seat rail and engine mounts. The rear section – now a single piece rear fender – is stronger and more streamlined and the entire electrical system has been simplified and lightened. The styling and layout have been completely redesigned; it has better balance, with new suspension settings and the Kayaba rear shock is shorter by 4 mm, further reducing seat height. The top of the range rear suspension uses Kayaba components (adjustable for rebound and compression) and an upside down linkage, combining the advantages of progressive linkage with a sheltered location. The front suspension (48 mm diameter forks) has been improved with more progressive damping. The rear shock is better shielded for additional protection. These modifications are the result of the collaboration between the Husqvarna R&D team and the official racing team, further streamlining the frame, designed to concentrate weight on the bike's centre-of-gravity and minimize chain-torque. The steel tubing perimeter frame was designed for the CTS - Coaxial Traction System – which on the TE449 reduces to a minimum the influence of the final transmission on dynamic handling and steering. With the gearbox output shaft coaxially aligned with the swingarm pivot, the torque generated by the powerful 450cc engine now has almost no influence on the handling, and above all allows the engine to be placed as far to the rear as possible. This optimises the wheelbase and enables the forward slant of the cylinder head, which lowers the centre of gravity and allows straighter inlet tracts for the engine. The single cylinder, four valve, twin cam titanium valve engine is a recent design and needed few modifications, just some minor changes to the power curve. To better access and exploit all the power of the TE449, the designers concentrated on the mapping of the Keihin injection, which controls the action of the twin flap 46mm throttle body. Fine tuning included the balancing of the engine thermodynamics with the light steel Akrapovic exhaust, developed in collaboration with the prestigious Slovenian manufacturer. The efficiency of the cooling circuit was improved with change to the radiator, introducing a new WP component. The TE511 is no toy and horsepower is one thing the TE511 does not lack, in fact the problem is keeping the horses in check! This is why all design aspects of the machine have been studied and evaluated with one thing in mind, making the TE511 easier to ride. Like its almost twin stable mate, the TE449, the high power bike has also seen mechanical and engine changes. These are aimed at making the big brother of the Husqvarna 2012 range easier to ride and more appealing to different types of rider. Aesthetically it has the same updates, black frame, anodised silver Excel rims and the new integrated in-mould graphics - no more adhesives that peel off under the power wash. The tail section has been redesigned as a single-piece, sleeker and more robust, but the most important new features are the engine settings and the layout.

V force Reed indentify?????? - Polaris ATV Forum

Hey guys. I have scrambler that i bought and am trying to find replacement reeds. Not sure which model of v-force reeds I have. Mine have 2 pedals on each side. I've done some searching on line and have come up w/ different picts. Searched vforce 3 and some show pict w/ 2 pedals on each side. And others show 3 pedals on each side. Can you all tell which ones i have from my picts? Who has the best price on replacements?
